Extensive blood flow testing has been carried out for Static Seating and Transport Seating applications.  Results are consistent across all tests and record significant improvements in venous blood flow.

The typical blood flow case study protocol is a direct blind comparative test, where an individual’s blood flow is recorded on the standard seat and then assessed against an identical seat modified with the technology. All tests are carried out by a renowned US Vascular Surgeon and Registered Vascular Technician using the Maximum Venous Outflow (MVO) test method.

Blood Flow Testing

  • Blind study - no seat identification
  • MVO test using Air Plethysmography
  • Significant improvement in Maximum Venus Outflow recorded
  • Jon Senkowsky, MD FACS, Vascular Surgeon, Cardiothoracic Surgery Associates of North Texas:

“Recent data accumulated on seats modified with the technology resulted in a measurable and very statistically significant, medical improvement in venous blood flow. This improved outflow, combined with the other beneficial effects of the improved sitting position should result in increased alertness and reduce fatigue during prolonged sitting. From a vascular standpoint, the increase in venous outflow and the subsequent diminution in the risk of pulmonary embolus and DVT-like events, add significant value to the technology.”
